This Tunstone Needle has a coil of Tung Wire probably 1 INCH LONG on the needle, when the tip is worn off, you just turn the celluloid wheel by about 1/8 turn, and you have a new tip. The tung wire is exactly the same dimension of a Tungstone Needle, and the tone, depending on how much wire you let out is from Medium to Medium Loud.

As with tungstones, harsh handling can bent the wire, while you have to throw away the tungstone, you just reel out some more wire here, and clip it with scissors.
